    The Business Development Advisor is a critical component of our go-to-market strategy and is focused on the acquisition and support of key customer targets.  The successful Business Development Advisor will part of a highly effective team yet motivated by the personal drive to thrive in a business environment.  This skilled Business Solutions position is responsible for the development and growth of profitable new business for the branch while maintaining key customer relationships.

    Responsibilities

    • Incorporate our value-added resources into new account strategies including analyzing market strategies and customer accounts, closing new accounts, and negotiating contracts.
    • Competently explain our programs and market this process to our customers, sales associates and internal support team.
    • Analyze customer data to support the Solutions process and use reporting tools to communicate the success of our efforts and to identify where to improve efforts.
    • Actively source new material to support our customers through internal and external sources
    • Analyze customer menu and operational procedures for suggestions to utilize business systems and tools that support their profitability.
    • Work directly with marketing team on flyers and other marketing material to include recipes and menu ideas.
    • Present customers and Sales Associates with tools and resources necessary to meet their needs.
    • Facilitate and present educational seminars to large groups of restaurant operators and Sales Associates.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Some travel involved including overnight

    Qualifications

    • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or the equivalent in industry experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn industry and internal software programs.
    • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED
    • Minimum of 5 years front and back of the house restaurant experience.  Prior management experience a plus.
    • Demonstrate a high sales aptitude and customer service skills
    • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and computation skills.
    • Ability to strategize with a cross functional team to accomplish short and long term goals
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
    • Understands fundamentals of Marketing
    • Professional appearance
    • Valid driver’s license and required insurance.
    • Ability to pass background investigation and drug test
