  • Overview

    Drive tractor/trailers, straight trucks in fenced yard to wash bay for cleaning. Clean inside and out using manual and automated washing machine. Steam clean interiors of trailers and boxes. Park and back trailers up to 53’ in truck lot

     

    We do background investigations and drug tests.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Mix correct quantities of soap; wash and rinse trucks. Steam clean the boxes of straight trucks and trailers inside and out to keep vehicles safe and sanitized.
    • Clean all drains and filters in the washing area daily to ensure a safe and clean environment.
    • Preform inside shop maintenance. Assist in daily shop housekeeping by cleaning work areas to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
    • Assist in fueling vehicles as needed.
    • Pick up parts and deliver within and outside the company upon special request.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
    • 1 to 3 months of garage experience helpful
    • Able to drive large trucks, able to use stick shift
    • Able to follow directions and instructions and pay attention to detail, able to communicate with drivers with special requests
    • Valid Driver License required with clean driving record. CDL license preferred
    • Ability to pass a drug test

    Physical

    • Frequent lifting, normally 10-50lbs, with occasional lifting up to 100lbs while performing shop clean-up
    • Constant use of both hands/arms while reaching/handling/grasping
    • Frequent push/pull force 10-30 lbs
    • Frequent bend/twist at waist/knees/neck
    • Frequent stand/walk throughout work shift
    • Occasional sitting while driving; frequent climbing in/out of truck cabs
    • Occasional ladder climbing 6-8 feet

    Work Conditions

    • Hazards include: wet, slippery oily surfaces, climbing ladders
    • Working in awkward or cramped quarters; noise, dust, gas and oil fumes, exposure to moving equipment and machinery, hazardous chemicals and products
    • Exposed to outside temperatures, constantly
    • Safety equipment required and provided
