    Responsibilities

    • Drive truck and/or tractor trailer at dock area or vehicle parking area to move, position or park truck or trailers.
    • Connect loaded semi-trailers to tractors for drivers.
    • Loads pallets of product in truck trailers with attention given to delivery schedule while maintaining safe loading procedures.

    Qualifications

    • High Diploma or GED is required.
    • Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug test.
    • Must be able to read/write/record data/perform simple mathematical calculations.

    Physical:

    • Frequent lifting up to 100 pounds throughout an 8 hours shift.
    • Frequent walking between docks and parking areas on blacktop or uneven terrain in all weather conditions.
    • Frequent use of both hands/arms in reaching/grasping while driving tractor, cranking landing gear and exerting push/pull force up to 50 pounds.
    • Frequent use of one arm to lower and pull body in and out of truck cab up to 2-400 repetitions per shift.
    • Frequent sitting while operating tractor.
    • Frequent use of feet in operating foot controls, requiring repetitive movement.
    • Constant use of sight and hearing abilities must possess good peripheral vision and hand/eye/foot coordination.
    • Frequent bending/twisting/crouching, while driving.

    Mental:

    • Must work independently and at a fast pace in a warehouse environment.
    • Capable of carrying out simple instructions on a repetitive basis.
    • Constant awareness to surroundings, moving equipment, warehouse workers, other vehicles.

    Work Conditions:

    • Hazards include: moving equipment, vehicles, slippery surfaces, and typical outdoor weather conditions year around.
    • Fumes, odors, gases, noise, and slight vibration.
