  • Overview

    This position will aid in scheduling and planning for daily/ nightly operational staffing.  Run queries and reports to that support slotting, reduce damage, and increase efficiencies in both accuracy and production for the operations team. 

     

    This position will also assist with scheduling, billing, cruise routing, auditing of receiving documents to ensure correct documentation and follow up is accomplished.

     

     

    We do drug tests and background investigation.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare manning for the next week for Warehouse
    • Assist management in directing the warehouse staff as needed
    • Print purchase orders and ensure receiving transfers are accomplished daily
    • Run and post accuracy, productivity, and scanning reports and find trends to improve in this area
    • Maintain and service label printers
    • Run and review queries to support operations
    • Close system transfers
    • Complete and oversee cruise routing and billing
    • Obtain RMA’s for equipment repairs
    • Maintain HACCP daily inspection log and any needed corrective actions
    • Assist in processing all paperwork associated with receiving, selection, or billing and distribute to the appropriate departments
    • Print repack checklist, research and print repack list for associates
    • Help management with daily checks, and meetings to ensure to ensure operational success
    • Maintain associates payroll in Kronos
    • Maintain Vendor Discrepancy database
    • Other duties as assigned to include filling and cross training for other operations associates to include possible shift

    Qualifications

    • One (1) to two (2) years of office management, warehouse or transportation experience preferred
    • Strong oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, able to handle different situations, personalities, and able to manage deadlines
    • Able to work well with all departments and able to adapt and be flexible.
    • Computer literacy required.  PC software for Excel, Word, and Power Point experience required
    • This position is primarily a day shift position, but would possibly backfill on nights if needed
    • Ability to pass background investigation and drug test.

     


    PHYSICAL

    Frequent sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.

    Constant use of both arms/hands while reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, record data, computer entry, compiling information and lifting.

    Frequent stand/walk within office or warehouse areas.

    Frequent bend/twist at waist/knees to and from standing position while performing routine warehouse functions.

    Frequent bend/twist at waist/knees to and from seated position while performing routine office functions.

    Occasionally climb stairs to and from work areas while carrying approx. 6-8, 1lb. driver packets.

    Frequent lifting, 10 to 50 pounds.

    Constant use of visual, speech and hearing abilities necessary to perform essential functions.


    MENTAL


    Able to handle a high volume/quantity workload at a fast pace to meet required deadlines.

    Ability to handle last minute changes/corrections and customers over phone.

    Organize/prioritize workload with accuracy and efficiently.

    Must be detail-oriented, have mathematical abilities and be accurate in mathematical calculations.

    Good interpersonal skills required. Contact with drivers/co-workers/supervisors and customers.

    Must possess both oral/written communication skills.


    WORKING CONDITIONS


    Within warehouse and office setting.

    Work stresses include heavy workload and dealing with deadlines under frequent interruption.


    *Constantly over 80% time, Frequently 20-80% time, and Occasionally under 20% time.
