    Food Services of America, a privately held broad line foodservice distributor, has an immediate opening for a Category Strategies Manager in our Corporate Category Management Department, located at our headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. Our Team is searching for an ambitious, technically skilled professional to join our dynamic, growing organization. Through experience, the Category Strategies Manager will need to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for personal growth and success in our organization.


    • Category Management; responsible for “Product, Promotion, Strategic Pricing and Logistics” for their assigned categories for the SGA Food Group
    • Promotes and drives Category Management opportunities with the SGA Food Group; works with Operating Unit Category Management teams and respective projects
    • Manages corporate supplier agreements supporting goals of company/department
    • Supports focused Corporate promotion
    • Provides leadership in the decision making process surrounding their RFP categories
    • Responsible for data collection, analysis and collaboration with branches for RFP's
    • Product selection
    • Assists in customer onboarding and item selection opportunities
    • FSA Brands, category plans, sales penetration/growth, margin and profit planning
    • Develops plans to achieve/exceed  annual rebate budget and accruals
    • Works with our Centralized Purchase Order Management Team
    • Works with our third party logistics to explore supply chain improvement
    • Works with Finance Department


    • 4-Year Bachelor’s  Degree in Business (emphasis in Management, Marketing, Merchandising, Accounting, or Finance preferred)
    • Proven track record, integrity, competitive, team player, goal oriented, creative, ability to work with people (inter-department and cross functional)
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
    • Analytical ability
    • Detail oriented
    • Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
    • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and multi-task
    • Ability to work effectively within a team environment; collaboration with others is essential
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Negotiation skills
    • Ability to proactively think outside of the box
    • Food Industry and Merchandising experience preferred
    • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test
