The Business Solutions Culinary Advisor will consult with customers and associates providing value added tools and resources to ensure mutual success. The emphasis of this role will be on restaurant operations solutions engagements and culinary engagements with our customers and sales associates, ultimately leading to a stronger business relationship. Culinary engagements will be in the form of one on one and small group engagements, to classroom style presentations in front of up to sixty attendees.




    • Strengthen relationships with our customers through the use of solutions based selling.
    • Develop consultative selling techniques. Master this type of selling effort.
    • Competently explain our programs and market this process to our customers, sales associates and internal support team.
    • Present customers with menu ideas during consultations, focusing on customer’s needs, price point, menu concept and skill level as well as current trends, and creative plate presentation.
    • Actively source new material to support our customers through internal and external sources.
    • Analyze customer data to support the solutions process and use reporting tools to communicate the success of our efforts and to identify where to improve.
    • Analyze customer operations and their menu for suggestions to cross-utilize their inventory, improve kitchen efficiency and food cost management.
    • Observe, manage, and correct proper food handling and sanitation of in-house and in market food demonstrations, equipment and facilities.
    • Develop and support the FSA sales team with the goal of increasing case and sale growth.
    • Use reporting tools to communicate the success of our efforts and to identify where to improve efforts.
    • Become proficient at presenting ideas to individuals and groups.
    • Become proficient at presentation techniques.
    • Facilitate and present educational seminars to large groups of restaurant operators and sales associates.
    • Conduct pre-meeting, actual customer meeting and follow-up to ensure goals are met.
    • Responsible for maintaining systems and checklists for Test Kitchen including supplies, inventory, and cleanliness to meet all Health Department Regulations
    • Network at local culinary associations and industry functions.

  • Some travel involved including overnight.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Sales and Business Solutions Manager.


  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma and 5 years kitchen management experience.
  • Preferred degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, accredited culinary school or the equivalent in industry experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and the ability to quickly learn industry and internal software programs.
  • Demonstrate a high sales aptitude and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and computation skills.
  • Ability to strategize with a cross functional team to accomplish short and long term goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain ServSafe Food Manager Certification
  • Professional appearance.
  • Valid driver’s license and required vehicle insurance.
  • Contingent on passing background investigation and drug test.
