The National Accounts Executive reports directly to Director of National Account/Program Sales and will be responsible for building strategic relationships at all levels within FSA’s existing customer organizations.


Successful National Account Executives have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management within the our organization, as well as the customers’ organizations, including the experience and judgment necessary to know when to increase and intensify the communication, especially to executive management.


  • Will help prospect and bring on new business, supervise, delegate to, and hire and train supporting staff
  • Responsible for working with our Distribution Center Management Teams and supply chain organizations within FSA, and our customers, to ensure goals and objectives for day to day service levels, day’s inventory on hand, and other metrics are successfully achieved
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with key customers
  • Plan and participate in local, National, and National trade associations and conferences
  • Develop and communicate department budgets
  • Prepare and schedule business reviews with key customer contacts
  • Pro-active approach and response to troubleshooting customer challenges
  • Contract management, pricing and procedural compliance
  • Planning and Communication –Developing and executing profitable business plans for managing accounts
  • Teaming with individuals within the National Accounts Department, the Field Sales Department, and other key corporate personnel such as Marketing, Merchandising and Finance to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive profitability
  • Strategically planning customer visits to cultivate relationship, perform presentations, offer innovative programs and communicate plans
  • Manage activities of Bid Account Coordinator
  • Weekly and Monthly reports to include: Usage Reports, Price Lists, Daily Sales and Profitability, Out and Substitutions, EMI (rebate) updates, Contract Accrual, Inventory, etc…


  • Strong National Account / Sales experience 2-5 years.  Proven success in Foodservice Sales account management preferred.
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel from 10% to 50% dependent on business requirements.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test
