Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple packaging projects with the goal of achieving adherence to regulatory and packaging design standards while meeting or beating realistic packaging deadlines.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of Fusion (packaging process management) software system and production workflow process from conception through final deliverable.
  • Manage and collaborate with Food Services of America Corporate Category Managers and Assistant Category Managers, Suppliers, Communications team, OEC/Fusion, Packaging Printers and IMA (Independent Marketing Alliance) Packaging Lead to coordinate packaging projects, packaging specifications and implement packaging improvements.
  • Maintain and communicate packaging reports and update associates weekly or as needed.
  • Keep abreast of packaging industry changes, new innovations and equipment. Make recommendations for updating designs and processes.
  • Seek efficiency opportunities to lower costs, enhance our sales and increase revenues.
  • Stay updated with all Federal, state and other regulations regarding packaging and labeling for all Food Services of America product brands.
  • Support merchandising and category management efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Formal education: 4-year degree in Business, Project Management or equivalent on-the-job experience preferred.
  • Packaging / labeling experience preferred.
  • Food Service or related industry knowledge preferred.
  • Detail oriented and highly intuitive.
  • Interpersonal skills: organize, prioritize, good oral and written communication skills, team building, and ability to work well with all levels of associates in a high volume, high paced environment.
  • Technical skills: PC, Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test.
